Meet Rachel and Emma! We're two Ph.D. candidates at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Rachel is a 6th year graduate student and is currently in the throes of writing her thesis. Soon she'll be moving to Boston for a post-doctorate position. In the lab, Rachel studies the genetics underlying Alexander's Disease. In her spare time, she enjoys running marathons, knitting socks, and podcasting! You can keep up with her on Twitter @OfGlia
Emma is a 4th year graduate student and plans to pursue a career in science communication post-graduate school! Emma studies how mechanical forces and genetics affect muscle development!
